I needed an electric gate repaired. I was told by phone that it is $125 service call. While this seems steep, I understood this and assumed they would diagnose the problem and then estimate the repair cost. When he was finished, the repairman said it would be $399.95 for the day! I was shocked and unprepared to pay this; I wanted a diagnosis so that I could decide if it was worth repairing. And although I ended up with a probable diagnosis, I didn't fully have a repair; I still had to buy more stuff to repair it. I was apparently misquoted on the phone. The service call was actually $250 and then hourly labor after that. And when he finally figured out what the problem was, it was because I dug out the manual combined with him sitting on hold with the manufacturers tech assistance. I could have done that for $0 myself. The repairman was very nice, empathetic, and hardworking and he did reduce it to $299.95 since I was misquoted the service call, but still a complete and total ripoff. Will never call again. I guess that's what you have to expect from a large operation like this. Disappointment.

When I called Precision Garage Door, they were able to schedule a visit within 24 hours. I was impressed when the technician, Samuel, called me two hours before my scheduled appointment to let me know he was running ahead of schedule and would arrive within the hour. Samuel was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to explain everything in detail and provided three different, well-outlined estimates for the needed work. Once we agreed on the estimate, he completed the repairs in a timely manner and made sure to clean up afterward — which, honestly, is rare these days. As a bonus, he even lubricated all the moving parts on my garage door before leaving — something I didn't expect but truly appreciated. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door of Mobile, and if you can, definitely ask for Samuel. Outstanding service from start to finish!

While the serviceman was challenged to arrive within the 2 hr window, ‘Hannah’ was informative and apologetic. Technician Joe Drake arrived, and man, was this guy a ‘Garage Door Beast! Like a PHd in Garage Doorology! He made smooth, focused assessment and was absolutely magical in adjusting all the moving (& NOT moving) parts of my system. Much detailed, comprehensive and graciously educational as he addressed elements needing maintenance…even reprogrammed my in-car Garage door opener…with ease. I will eventually need a new Garage door opening Motor. Precision is absolutely in a league of their own, and ‘Dr. Drake’ the Obijuankinobe’ of Garage Door Magicians!
